KOBE – Sports performance brand Asics has released its 2018 Sustainability Report, which summarises the company’s progress towards ‘sustainability’, noting amongst other things that it surpassed its CO2 emissions reduction targets for 2020 two years earlier than initially planned.
Initially targeting a 5 per cent reduction in CO2 emissions at facilities, the total amount decreased 19.2 per cent, while a planned 10 per cent reduction in CO2 emissions per pair of shoes was reduced to 15.9 per cent.
