GENEVA – The Better Cotton Initiative has defended its volume-based fee (VBF) structure as being vital to directly financing farmer capacity. "We couldn't do what we do without this important component of our programme," the sustainable cotton organisation told Ecotextile News, during a briefing in which it also outlined the thinking behind the latest review of its fee-based structure.
