HONG KONG – Japanese apparel retailer, Fast Retailing, owner of the Uniqlo brand, has announced a series of improvements at its textile supplier factories, including the introduction of a worker hotline, as it responds to criticisms in recent months about worker violations in its Chinese supplier factories. The company says it is in the process of improving its workplace monitoring, adding that it will look to "facilitate stronger dialogues between management and workers and cooperate with specialised NGOs and third party organisations in such areas as monitoring methods and training."
