SEATTLE - Outdoor retail giant REI has been accused of links to “gross violations of labour and human rights” in its global supply chain, in a new report from the University of Massachusetts Amherst Labor Center and Students for International Labor Solidarity.
Entitled 'Beneath REI’s Green Sheen', the report includes allegations of forced labour, forced overtime, discrimination against pregnant and postpartum women, low wages, and retaliation against workers who speak out.
