LEEDS – A new process for dyeing polyester is said to be more sustainable, compatible with existing machinery and even reversible to facilitate textile-to-textile recycling. 

This process, billed as CO2-mediated switchable solubility dyeing aims to eliminate the need for auxiliary chemicals, reduce energy and water use, and dyes textiles at much lower pressures than using supercritical CO2 processes.
