LEIDEN - Ingka Group, the franchise owner of the majority of IKEA stores, has had its revised net zero emissions targets approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
In line with SBTi recommendations, Ingka’s revised targets include commitments to reduce absolute greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from its value chain (scopes 1, 2 and 3) by at least 50% by 2030 compared to a 2016 baseline, and to reach net zero emissions by 2050, without relying on carbon offsets to meet the targets.
