SEATTLE - Online retail giant Amazon has joined the Life and Building Safety (LABS) programme which works to fostering safer working conditions and sustainable practices within the global apparel, footwear and accessories supply chain.
LABS is run by IDH, the Sustainable Trade Initiative, and was launched after the organisation was approached by the brands such as Gap, Nike, Target, VF Corp and Walmart to create a safety programme for apparel and footwear factories.
