LONDON - Garment workers in factories in Pakistan which supply some of the world's biggest brands are facing increasing exploitation, according to a new report.
The study, by the Labour Behind the Label organisation and human rights law firm Global Rights Compliance, found the informalisation of worker’s jobs was leading to illegally low pay, unpaid overtime and the loss of secure contracts.
High street brands sourcing from the factories concerned include GAP, Adidas, Asda, H&M, M&S, Puma, Levi’s, Primark, Boohoo and Inditex, according to the 'Hanging On By a Thread' report.
