WASHINGTON DC - Representatives from the US fashion industry attended a congressional briefing last week to alert policy makers to some of the critical issues facing the fashion sector and to call for policy initiatives that promote ethical and sustainable business practices.
The briefing took place in the run up to New York Fashion Week with organisations such as PoliticallyinFashion, Rebecca Ballard Advisory, Transparentem, and TS Designs addressing a range of topics including challenges and solutions around forced labour in fashion supply chains, the opportunity of regenerative and circular fashion, and the broader ethical and environmental impact of the industry.
