MILAN - The Planet Textiles sustainability conference is now underway at the ITMA trade event, the world’s largest international textile and garment technology exhibition, in Italy.
The two-day conference was opened by Amina Razvi, CEO of the Sustainable Apparel Coaltion (SAC) which is hosting the event in partnership with MCL News and Media, publishers of Ecotextile News.
"Our gathering could not be more timely," Razvi told delegates. "Just last month, climate scientists warned that our world's temperature could surpass the critical threshold of 1.5 degrees the very first time this year.
