MIAMI - US senator Marco Rubio, one of the authors of the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA), has written to his fellow senators urging them to hold fast fashion giant Shein to account on forced labour allegations.
Rubio argues that Shein's business model evades UFLPA which bans imports from the Xinjiang region of China on the presumption they were made with forced labour unless the importer can prove otherwise.
