SINGAPORE – Specialty textile chemical supplier DyStar says its new cationisation pre-treatment of dyed warp for the production of indigo and coloured denim dramatically reduces water and energy use.
It’s claimed the new pre-treatment means that denim dyers can by-pass the three to four washing boxes normally used for both indigo and sulphur dyeing to reduce effluent with dye fixation and neutralisation taking place in the same box.
