GLOBAL - The Science Based Targets Network (SBTN) has launched the world’s first science-based targets for nature, with Swedish fashion giant H&M and French luxury groups Kering and LVMH among the first signatories.
SBTN, a coalition of nearly 50 environmental organisations, hopes the new initiative will become a global standard for ambitious corporate action across freshwater, land, ocean, biodiversity and climate.
The science-based targets for nature provide guidance for companies to assess and prioritise their environmental impacts, and to prepare to set targets, beginning with freshwater and land, alongside climate through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
