WASHINGTON, DC - Chinese ultra-fast fashion giant Shein faces forced labour accusations in a letter penned by two dozen Republican and Democrat lawmakers, amid expectations that the company will raise capital in the US through an initial public offering (IPO).
The lawmakers claim that the company is “aggressively raising capital and plans to execute an IPO before the end of this calendar year”, and calls for claims of Uyghur forced labour that continue to surround the company be investigated.
