COPENHAGEN - Copenhagen Fashion Week has announced the line up for its next event - the first in which all participating brands are required to meet minimum sustainability requirements.
Participants have to comply with 18 minimum standards, including pledging not to destroy unsold clothes, using at least 50 per cent certified, organic, upcycled or recycled textiles in all collections, using only sustainable packaging and having zero-waste set designs for their shows.
They must also achieve a minimum score based on points awarded for six areas of the value chain - strategic direction, design, smart material choices, working conditions, consumer engagement and shows.
