LONDON - A bid to create the world's first 100 per cent recyclable and chemical-free outdoor performance textile has been chosen as one of four to be awarded funding from Prince Charles’ Terra Carta Design Lab initiative.
Amphitex recieves £50,000 (US$63,000) from the programme which was launched last year as part of a collaboration between the Prince of Wales and Apple’s former chief design officer Sir Jonny Ive.
The initiative was set up at London’s Royal College of Art to encourage students to develop “credible and sustainable” solutions to pressing environmental challenges, including the climate crisis and nature loss.
