MANCHESTER – After showcasing the fruits of sportswear giant Puma’s Re:Jersey recycling initiative at the weekend, Manchester City Football Club is to introduce collection bins at its merchandise store.

Fans are encouraged to donate unwanted jerseys that Puma and its recycling partner Gaiker will process using a chemical recycling solution.

“With Re:Jersey, Puma is looking for new ways to make sporting goods more circular and we are proud to be able to play a part in this journey, working to engage fans, community, workforce and partners – actively collaborating for a better future,” commented Pete Bradshaw, director of sustainability at Manchester City.
