PRATTELN – Specialty chemicals company Archroma has announced the launch of two new metal-free and halogen-free acid dyes for polyamides and fabric blends.
Joining the firm’s Nylosan S range, the REACH-registered and Bluesign-approved solutions have been made using new dye molecules said to rival conventional metallised products in terms of performance.
“Public awareness is growing about product safety in general, and consumers and brands are increasingly raising concerns about the presence of metals in skin-contact articles, which are the dominant application of polyamide and its blends,” Archroma told Ecotextile News.
