BEIJING – A new Greenpeace report on China's major online shopping platforms has found significant shortcomings in their responses to the challenges of climate change.
The research paper analyses the climate responses of e-tailers which sell fashion and textiles, such as Alibaba, JD.com and Vipshop, as well as Pinduoduo, Suning.com, NetEase and Xiaomi.
It found that none of the companies was fully addressing carbon emissions in their supply chains - where the greatest impact occurs - in their climate change commitments.
