MONTREAL - Apparel manufacturer Gildan Activewear is claiming significant sustainability improvements in its latest Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report.
The company's 17th annual ESG report reveals that a third of its total energy came from renewable sources, and that 88 per cent of its waste was recycled or repurposed.
Gildan also reports a 14 per cent decrease in total waste from 2015 to 2020, and a 11.4 per cent reduction in 'water intensity' over the same period.
