DHAKA – Fashion giant PVH Corp, which owns the Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger brands, has announced a new partnership with non-profit The Power of Nutrition, through which women in Bangladesh’s ready-made garment (RMG) sector will benefit from new nutrition services.
Over the next four years, a national programme totalling US$15 million will be delivered, with support from UNICEF Bangladesh, in a bid to reach more than one million female garment workers.
“Through our partnership … we are supporting an innovative initiative to provide access to critical services for working mothers and ultimately empower women in the global supply chain – a crucial priority within our Forward Fashion strategy,” noted PVH’s senior manager of corporate responsibility, Smruti Govan.
