DHAKA - Garment workers at factories in Bangladesh which are not compliant with international occupational health and safety (OHS) standards are more likely to suffer from musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), according to a new study.
Academics from Bangladesh, Thailand and the US carried out the study which has been published in the peer-reviewed Risk Management and Healthcare Policy journal.
Their report says that MSDs are a group of inflammatory and degenerative conditions in both industrialised and developing countries which are responsible for millions of lost workdays every year.
