LONDON – Fashion resale platform Depop has published a new two-year plan which will see the company accelerate actions in the categories of climate, the circular economy and education.

With the mantra ‘fashion for a better future’, Depop’s will strive to be climate neutral by the end of the year, whilst it will adapt its marketplace to offer ‘systematic preferences’ to brands with ‘strong circular economy credentials’.

“Our goal with these initial commitments is to define a baseline for what sustainability means for Depop beyond second-hand and inspire others within and outside our platform to adopt more circular practices,” said the firm’s head of sustainability, Justine Porterie.
