SEATTLE - US sporting and outdoor apparel retailer REI Co-op is engaging with its more than 1,000 brand partners to advance more sustainable business practices on issues such as climate change.
The company has updated its REI Product Impact Standards to include new expectations of its partners on carbon reduction, more inclusive marketing practices and culturally sensitive product designs.
The standards, first launched in 2018 as a way for REI to advance sustainability across the industry, have been expanded to include additional areas of impact.
