WASHINGTON – The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has announced a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a consortium of retail, apparel and footwear firms through which relief will be provided across Bangladesh, Cambodia, Vietnam and Sri Lanka.
The likes of VF Corp., Levi’s, Gap, Target and Nike have aligned in this effort and are joined by industry organisations such as the American Apparel and Footwear Association (AAFA) in striving to alleviate the hardships felt by supply chain workers of which most are female.
