PHNOM PENH – The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has given the green light to four investment projects in the country’s garment manufacturing industry that’s set to create more than 6,000 jobs.
Despite the set-back of Cambodia’s partial suspension from the Everything But Arms (EBA) scheme, it’s kicking on with plans to establish a new dyeing and laundry factory, a shoe manufacturing site, a garment production hub and a solar panel assembly factory.
Authorities insist that foreign investor interest in Cambodia remains high, offsetting just some of the concern which stakeholders across industry had for those in its fashion supply chains.
