LONDON – Fashion rental service Hurr Collective has integrated a real-time carbon footprint tracker into its platform which will provide users with insight into the emissions savings their actions will make by opting not to purchase brand-new items.
Developed by CoGo, the footprint tracker calculates the volume of CO2 that the manufacture of apparel items are accountable for, to validate the more conscious decisions of resale and rental users.
Emma Kisby, managing director at CoGo, said: “CoGo's mission is to prioritise the environment in our daily lives by enabling an understanding of climate impact. Our rental feature, along with CoGo’s existing fashion impact measurement tools, will work to realise the inextricable link between fashion spend and carbon footprint for the everyday person.”
