LONDON – Fast fashion e-commerce retailer ASOS has announced four commitments which partnering brands who source from within the UK will have to meet if they’re to continue to leverage the ASOS platform.
Brands must drastically improve supply chain visibility by signing up to the Transparency Pledge and joining hands with factory auditing organisation Fast Forward, if they’re to meet ASOS’ requirements – which come at a time when there’s widespread concern about supply chain working conditions following the stories which came out of Leicester.
“We believe the four commitments we have set out this week are critical enablers to improving sourcing standards across the UK,” says ASOS CEO, Nick Beighton. “We hope that our brand partners will join us in striving to reach this goal, with the continued support of ASOS, Fast Forward, and other leading lights in UK manufacturing.”
