SEATTLE – Retail conglomerate Amazon is amongst the few firms to have seen profits leap during the coronavirus pandemic. So much so that retail analysts have highlighted further growth potential of US$4 billion for the business, despite owner Jeff Bezos already having seen his personal fortune swell to US$138 billion.
With the business tycoon’s strategy paying off, at a time when it’s ramping up efforts on the sustainability front, it begs the question as to whether the online superpower can optimise its sales channels post-pandemic to better support the fight against climate change.
