LONDON – The British Fashion Council (BFC) has announced the 37 businesses it will apportion funding to from its £1 million COVID-19 relief kitty.
It was in March that the BFC established its Foundation Fashion Fund, with the aim of supporting native apparel companies struggling with the ramifications of the coronavirus outbreak.
“Now more than ever, we are committed to supporting the businesses and people that make up our industry,” chief executive Caroline Rush said at the time. “With the BFC Foundation Covid Crisis Fund and the donations raised, our hope is to support those British businesses that need additional subsidies, beyond Government stimulus available, to address their most urgent challenges.”
