BRUSSELS - The European Union has published a detailed and technical 130-page report on how to calculate the environmental footprint of a t-shirt.
The document is part of a pilot project which eventually aims to help consumers make better environmental choices in the products that they buy across a wide range of goods.
It aims to identify the best 'green producers', enabling them to expand their market share, and improve the environment by encouraging the production of goods which cause less emissions, pollution and waste.
