SAO PAULO - A total of 30 fashion brands and retailers in the Brazilian market have been ranked on how much information they disclose about their social and environmental policies.
Only one brand - C&A - of those assessed scored more than 60 per cent and the average score was just 16 per cent in the second edition of the Fashion Transparency Index Brazil.
Some 13 brands scored zero - although the researchers stressed this revealed the fact they had not disclosed their social and environmental policies rather than the absence of such policies.
