DÜSSELDORF – German start-up Retraced has launched a transparency tool which allows end-consumers to learn more about the ‘sustainable’ aspects of the fashion industry.
Powered by Oracle’s Hyperledger Fabric blockchain technology platform, it aims to help connect consumers with apparel manufacturers; offering insights into the production processes and raw materials used.
Retraced says that it already has a number of fashion brands on board, with its first client being CANO, a sustainable clothing brand which will product-specific NFC tags and QR codes to provide better transparency for the production of its leather footwear.
