GENEVA — At the 108th session of the International Labour Conference, Guy Ryder, director general of the ILO (International Labour Organization), has called on a plethora of industries to collaborate in order to “accelerate the pace of progress” towards meeting SDG 8.7 and ending child labour in all of its forms by 2025.
With several recent reports suggesting that this particular rights violation remains a substantial failing in apparel supply chains the world over, is this ambitious target really achievable?
