PARIS – On behalf of a group of French brands and retailers, including luxury department store chain Galeries Lafayette Group, ICS (Initiative for Compliance and Sustainability) has written to the Bangladesh Prime Minister to make the case for Accord extension in order to ensure the successful handover of garment sector safety regulation.
Following a string of farcical delays in late 2018, the future of the Bangladesh Accord is now set to be decided on 21st January.
