LONDON – A new online platform created by Transparency in Supply Chains (TISC) will map all calls made to Britain's anti-slavery helpline as part of its ongoing efforts to raise public awareness of the problem and to better and more precisely direct government spending to counteract modern slavery.
This comes after the inquiry into fast fashion identified garment sector factories in the UK paying well below the legal minimum wage; highlighting the breadth of mainstream industries currently putting the rights and wellbeing of workers at risk.
