HELSINKI – A Finnish company which has developed an innovative way to make cellulosic textile fibres using a wet extrusion process based on the flow properties (rheology) of a modified, aqueous wood fibre slurr has entered a partnership with Brazilian forestry company Fibria, the world's leading producer of eucalyptus pulp. Fibria will pay €5 million for an 18 per cent minority interest in Spinnova, a spin-out business from VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.
