Unless you’ve had your head in the sand for the past couple of years, you’ll have noticed that the world of textiles has suddenly become dominated by data – or more to the point, the lack of reliable data.

There are now many well-meaning scores, schemes and ‘measures’ to show how good or bad brands, products, processes or – facilities are – or how they are progressing towards targets.
