BORAS - Scientists at the University of Borås in Sweden are exploring the use of fungi to create more sustainable materials for the fashion industry from food waste.
The researchers say the materials show significant antimicrobial activity, inhibit harmful bacteria and are biocompatible, making them safe for direct contact with human skin.
