JYVÄSKYLÄ – Textile innovator Spinnova is gearing up for the commercial launch of its fibre from leather waste, which can be used to make footwear, garments and leather accessories without the use of potentially hazardous chemicals.
The Finnish firm has signed a ‘Letter of Intent’ for its Respin company, a 50/50 joint venture with leather supplier Ecco and its partner KT Trading, in which both parties have committed to scaling up operations.
