GENEVA – Swedish retailer IKEA has announced that all of its cotton now comes from more “sustainable sources” thanks to its work with the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) and other identity cotton standards. The milestone, which is in-keeping with the commitment it made in its sustainability report released early in 2015, means IKEA is the first major international retailer to use only sustainable or ‘identity’ cotton sources in its textile products.
