NEW YORK - Fashion retail giant Gap has joined the Water Resilience Coalition as part of the latter's new Women + Water Collaborative, a flagship corporate collective action programme that will work to improve access to clean water and sanitation in India.
The programme, in partnership with international NGO WaterAid, aims to improve the availability and quality of water in priority river basins, beginning with the Krishna and Godavari basins in Andhra Pradesh, through water replenishment and conservation using methods such as rainwater harvesting.
