COLOMBO - MAS Matrix part of the Sri Lankan apparel giant MAS Holdings, has launched a new collection of functional athleisurewear which the company says offers a number of environmentally friendly benefits in terms of raw material and waste reduction.
The MVTM collection has been manufactured on Stoll flat knitting machines using shaping technology - where the individual pieces are engineered so that each panel is made with no extra fabric - a method that MAS says reduces its fibre and fabric waste by between 18 and 22% compared to traditional cut and sew techniques.
