LENZING – Austrian fibre manufacturer Lenzing is expanding its Refibra technology, which incorporates recycled textile waste into the production of new fibres, into its Ecovero branded viscose.
Refibra technology, which so far features up to 20% of recycled raw material content from post-consumer textile waste with an ambition to increase that ratio, is already used in Lenzing's Lyocell-branded fibres.
The company has now extended that to Ecovero, launcing the new development at this year’s Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Textile Fair and Trade Show now taking place at the Chinese city's National Exhibition and Convention Center.
