LENZING - Austrian fibre manufacturer Lenzing is to double the production capacity of its 'sustainable' Ecovero-branded viscose fibres next year to meet rising demand from brands.
Lenzing has produced more than 300,000 tons of Ecovero - which is made from sustainably-managed wood sources and with renewable electricity - for more than 500 brands since its launch in 2017.
The company is also planning improvements next year to its fibre identification technology which can identify Ecovero fibres in fabric and final products to provide brands with traceability and protection from counterfeiting.
