DUBLIN - Fashion retailer Primark has published its inaugural 'Sustainability and Ethics Progress Report' outlining progress made against its commitments since the launch of its Primark Cares strategy last year.
Primark says 45 per cent of its clothes now contain recycled or more sustainably sourced materials, up from 39 per cent in April and 25 per cent in September 2021, towards a target of 100 per cent by 2030.
And 40 per cent of the company's cotton is recycled, organic or sourced from its Primark Sustainable Cotton Programme (PSCP), up from 27 per cent at the launch of the ten year strategy.
