GLOBAL - Black Friday has been marked by protests against overconsumption and workers' wages as brands and retailers sought to lure in consumers by offering huge discounts.
Workers rights campaigners and trade unionists staged protests outside of the Manchester base of fast fashion giant Boohoo which was offering "up to 90 per cent off nearly everything".
Meanwhile, rival brand Pretty Little Thing was offering 99 per cent reductions - with 99p next day delivery - enabling consumers to purchase an £18 dress for just 18p.
