BRANDE - A complaint against Danish fashion company Bestseller over its sourcing from Myanmar following last year's military coup has been thrown out by the NCP Denmark complaints body.
Danish MP Christian Juhl, of the Red–Green Alliance, had questioned whether Bestseller's due diligence in Myanmar met its responsible business obligations under the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.
NCP Denmark, the country's independent mediation and complaints body, has now published its decision rejecting Juhl's complaint following a year-long investigation.
