PHNOM PENH – The minimum wage for garment, footwear and textile workers in Cambodia is to rise to US$200 a month next year, following negotiations between factory owners, trade unions and government officials.

Unions had been demanding a US$21 rise in the minimum wage for their members while factory owners wanted them to be held at the current level of US$194 a month.
