DUBLIN - Gen Z is repairing their clothes more than any other age group, with 77 per cent picking up a needle and thread within the last 18 months, according to new research.
A study by Penneys - the trading name of Primark in Ireland - suggests the current cost of living crisis is encouraging more people to repair their clothes.
Some 62 per cent of people who carried out clothing repairs - and 95 per cent of 18- to 24-year-olds - told researchers that they did it to save money.
